The Kea Farm in Brinchang is perhaps the most renowned place to go to experience this awesome insect known for its unique growing process and beautiful wings. Here, you can see a lot of live butterflies and other insects of this family group. Kea Farm is open daily where there are nominal charges for entry among adults and children.

More than 45 species of butterfly

A healthy and balanced eco-system of many species of butterflies exists naturally with the flowers and other vegetation that grow specifically for this purpose. Besides that, there is a display of other insects and small animals in enclosures at the exhibition area for those who like to learn more about them.

At the live butterfly house, you can see about 40 different types of butterflies which are commonly found in Malaysia and the natural habitats. This includes the likes of the Papilionidae, Pieridae and Nymphalidae, among others. At Kea Farm, you can ‘bring home’ some butterflies as well at the souvenir shop where you can buy preserved butterflies made into key chains, framed pictures, pen holders and many others.
